About Me

I believe that our bodies and minds have the innate ability to heal and become free from pain. Chronic pain is rarely just a physical problem.  Rather it is a complex result of network reactions of body, mind and environment that create dis-ease. Those network reactions can be un-learnt.

Whilst studying for Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy, I learnt to implement the bio-psycho-social approach to Chronic Pain. This model has helped numerous clients to understand and learn about their chronic pain condition which has  led to improved life style and better symptom management.

Further study into how the experience of pain is created led me to explore the role of the mind in healing. It is an  incredibly powerful tool along the road of recovery; which is why I began to offer Facilitating Change as a separate Mentorship program.

My role is to work in partnership with you to alleviate discomfort and stress and discover the root cause of your problem so we can understand the contributing factors and triggers to help empower you to manage your health and well-being. My approach is integrative. Each person is different.

“The evidence that tissue pathology does not explain chronic pain is overwhelming (e.g., in back pain, neck pain and knee osteoarthritis).”
